Opened in December 2016, Milligan Island Eco Campsite is a unique and environmentally conscious camping destination located between Leeman and Green Head. This eco-friendly campsite offers a tranquil and nature-focused experience for visitors looking to reconnect with the natural world.
As a camping node, Milligan Island emphasizes sustainable practices and responsible camping. Visitors are encouraged to follow Leave No Trace principles, ensuring they leave the environment as they found it. Proper waste management and minimizing impact on the natural surroundings are essential aspects of the camping node's philosophy.

NO FIRES ARE PERMITTED AT ANY TIME Free dump points are located in both Leeman & Green Head townsites. Beach access is available to licensed vehicles PLEASE stick to the designated access tracks.
Site 29 & Site 30 are adjoining sites and cover an overall area of 28m wide by 12m deep which is perfect if you are travelling with multiple people and can comfortably fit Campervans, caravans and camper trailers. Sites have compacted surfaces and may require extra tools to insert tent pegs (tip: a drill and drill bit works great. Individually Site 30 is 14m wide by 12m deep. $20 PER SITE 2 people (additional $5 per person per night). AS THIS IS AN ECO-TOURIST SITE, THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER OR POWER.
Access is available to all vehicles via a gravel road. All site are large and can comfortably fit Campervans, caravans and camper trailers. Sites have compacted surfaces and may require extra tools to insert tent pegs (tip: a drill and drill bit works great.)
Pets are permitted at Milligan Island, but they must be kept on a lead at all times and cleaned up after to help protect the environment and ensure a pleasant experience for all campers and visitors.
